Nobody Knows Anything (Updated)

William Goldman once said that in Hollywood "nobody knows anything."

It's true. Everywhere. Who knows what the rules are for success in any endeavor?

I can't tell you how to blog. I can't give you a quick and easy guide to success.

I can only tell you that anyone who claims they're an expert and is trying to sell you the secrets of overnight success is full of it.

In any case, here's my position on branding vs. marketing.

Take it for what it's worth. Or feel free to ignore it. You always get to choose and that's the point. :)

Having written that, here are some links of possible interest:

About One Thousand Single Days. Count the number of "likes." You figure out what that means. :)

Info about Scriptchat. From Jeanne V. Bowerman's blog.

And major congrats to Jeanne V. Bowerman on the success of your crowdsourcing project! Way to go, Jeanne! :D

How social media makes you fearless. Awesome! :)

Smashwords adds pricing and library features!

Austin Camacho is taking his publishing company to a new level. Bravo, Austin! Just be careful not to do too much screw up not to be like the author/publisher of this ugly book.

Don't make promises you can't keep, then ignore

Just use your head. Everyone should do this. Be innovative and willing to take risks, but keep your eye on the bottom line, aka, your ROI. :)

Need I say more? Ha ha ha ...

UPDATE: Words to live by.
